Pure Joy Ministry and Outreach is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to uplifting the homeless community through intentional relationship-building, discipleship, essential resources, and addiction recovery support.
We meet people where they are, from the street corners to the local marketplaces. The focus is to lead people to Jesus and empower them to be messengers sent out to proclaim the Gospel.
We invite you to partner with us in building meaningful relationships and empowering individuals struggling with substance abuse to access recovery programs, find hope, and experience lasting transformation.

Our number one goal is to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We do this through both words and action, in the marketplaces and in the streets. As one of our homeless friends once said, “It’s weird to explain, it’s like you’re preaching, but you’re not talking.” That’s the kind of impact we strive for: to lead by example so clearly and consistently that those around us can see Jesus in the way we love, serve, and show up.
Immediate Essentials Provision
Through the generosity of our supporters, we have been able to provide meals, clothing, hygiene essentials, and shelter resources to individuals facing hardship.
Transformational Relationship Building
We believe in the transformative power of love and meaningful relationships. Our mission is to build genuine connections with individuals looking to grow in faith and those experiencing homelessness. We aim to connect people with people and resources that can help create positive changes in everyone’s life.
Simply spending time together and growing in our relationship with Jesus. Whether it’s sharing a meal or just hanging out, we believe real change grows out of authentic relationships built on trust, presence, and love.
Substance Abuse Recovery Programs
Life on the streets is a game of inches. One small delay in readiness can lead to a completely different outcome. That’s why we keep an updated list of trusted rehab and detox centers, carefully matched to fit each of our friends’ unique needs.
When someone says they’re ready to grab hold of hope, we act immediately by setting up a phone interview with a program right away. From there, we walk alongside them every step of the journey: arranging detox, covering bus tickets, providing clothing and food for the program, getting them there safely, and staying in close contact as they work through recovery.
Most importantly, we want them to know they are not alone, that they have a family and a community that truly cares about them, believes in them, and is committed to standing by their side.
